Aomine X Reader - Bad Start

3:59pm. One minute until the (h/c) haired beauty would arrive and watch his team practice. Ever since he returned to basketball practice after his loss against Seirin, a pretty girl would stand by the doors and watch them play. It was odd that she would stand there and then vanish after practice ended.

“Who is she?” He mumbled the question to himself.

You tucked a few stands of your hair behind your ear and peaked into the gym. A smile settled onto your features as you followed a certain player’s moves. The way he jumped and allowed the ball to slip out of his hands before landing perfectly into the hoop. It made you proud and you leaned against the door watching him score a few more points. You felt a gaze on you and blinked as you averted your eyes in the direction it was coming from. You flinched at who it was and quickly focused back on the first player.

“__-chan.” A timid voice called.

 You smiled at the player who jogged towards you.

“Ryo-kun. You’ve improved a lot,” You complimented making him blush.

Ryo smiled shyly towards you making you pinch his cheeks at how cute he was.

“Sakurai.”

You looked to your left but your eyes widened when you saw who it was. That boy…He always stared at you from time to time whenever you visited. Sakurai gazed at who called him and smiled nervously.

“A-Aomine-san…” He gulped and trembled slightly.

“Is this your girlfriend?” Aomine asked.

You gaped at his words and Sakurai tried to deny it but Aomine spoke over him.

“She doesn’t seem to like you as much then. I’ve seen her eyeing other players, especially me,” Aomine bluntly told while glancing at you.

He expected you to cry like those typical girls but he was taken aback by the glare you sent his way. You took a step forward and grabbed a fistful of his clothes before bring him down to your level. Sakurai was on the verge of fainting due to how tense it became.

“Listen here boy. First of all, I’m not his girlfriend. Second, what do you expect? I could feel your intimidating gaze on me so it was natural to look.” You let go of his clothes and crossed your arms.

Aomine straightened up and frowned.

“Who are you then?” He questioned.

“Sakurai ___. Ryo’s older sister,” You introduced with a brow raised.

Aomine completely froze at you words. Sister…His older sister? He grimaced at the words he spoke previously and felt slightly embarrassed.

“Think before you speak kid,” You scolded.

“I’m not a kid. You must be old then.” This earned him a punch in the arm making him yelp in pain.

“I’m eighteen you idiot,” You hissed, annoyed that the younger boy just pissed her off more.

“A-Aomine-san…L-Let’s just leave this and continue with practice,” Sakurai suggested.

You nodded at his words and patted him on the back.

“My brother is so smart unlike this tall idiot.” You smirked as you saw him glare at you.

Your forehead’s clashed and you both growled at each other.

“You guys move anymore closer and you’ll end up kissing,” A new voice mentioned in amusement.

Aomine realised how close your face was to his and retreated back. You turned, unfazed by the closeness and saw your friend, Imayoshi.

“Imayoshi-kun. What’s up?” You asked.

“I just came to see how the team was doing. I can’t stay too long because I promised a friend we would go to the library to study,” He told, still smiling.

“Could I join? I need to study for the physics exam. My teacher told me to memorize the notes I made for fundamentals and operations of vectors,” You asked and mentioned.

Imayoshi nodded and asked to see your notes on another subject which you accepted but you turned your gaze to Aomine who looked puzzled. You sent him a smug look and waved your hand in a teasing way.

“Don’t worry. Kids like you wouldn’t understand.”

Aomine snapped back at your words, tell you to shut up but you stuck your tongue out. Imayoshi then felt his phone buzz and a sigh escaped his lips.

“Looks like I wasn’t able to see the team…Come on, __-chan. Sakurai, tell the others I said hi.” Imayoshi saw Sakurai nod frantically.

He was about to wave towards Aomine but paused as he saw him still glaring towards you. You ignored this and linked arms with Imayoshi.

“Let’s go.” He nodded and you both walked to the entrance of the building.

Before you walked out, you looked back and spoke one last time.

“Bye Ryo-kun. See ya Ahomine!” You stepped out and laughed as you heard him yell out.

“It’s Aomine!”
