“Hey guys, good morning!” Kakashi greeted in a happy manner but everyone looked pissed off except for you.

“YOU’RE LATE!!” Sakura and Naruto exclaimed as they pointed at him.

Since you had come so early, you were obviously tired and informed your friends to wake you up when Kakashi arrived. Their shouting done the job and you stirred, opening your eyes to see your sensei appear by your laying form and gaze down at you with a flat stare.

“Morning sensei.” You sent him a tired smile before stretching your arms and getting up to go join your teammates.

Kakashi simply sighed over your unbothered attitude and soon led you all to the training grounds. Once you all arrived there, you dropped your bags by three logs and stood in a line, facing the older man who placed a clock on the middle log.

“This clock is set for noon. The task is to take these bells from me before the time is up.” It was quite a simple task but as you glanced over to the three besides you, you could tell it was going to be the opposite.

Continuing to explain the task, you listened carefully but when he mentioned the fact that you wouldn’t succeed unless you had the intention of killing him, your eyes widened.

“But, you’ll be in danger!” Sakura said in concern while Naruto laughed in a carefree manner.

“Yeah, you’re so slow! You can’t even dodge an eraser. We’ll definitely kill you!” Naruto claimed while you sighed as Kakashi sent him a tedious stare.

“In the real world, those with no talent often bark the loudest. Well, ignore Mr. Dead Last and start when I say.” You stiffened up at the insult he sent towards Naruto and peeked over to your friend who gritted his teeth and glared at his sensei.

Even you didn’t expect Naruto to grab a kunai from his pouch and aim to throw it at Kakashi, his eyes glazing in a murderous manner.

“Whoa,” Quickly taking a few steps back as the Jonin appeared by your side, grabbing Naruto’s arm and pulling it back so the kunai was now pointed at his own head.

“Calm down, I haven’t started yet but it seems you’re finally prepared to come at me with the intent to kill. Hehe, it looks like I’m beginning to like you guys.”

This brought a smile to adorn your features and you soon got into a fighting stance, your eyebrows knitting together as you began to prepare your chakra.

“Okay, let’s get going. Ready…BEGIN!”

You didn’t bother hiding and jumped back a few feet, resting your back against a tree and continuing to form your chakra into water.

“The most important thing for a shinobi is to be able to hide yourself. Why didn’t you follow the others, [F/N]?” Kakashi turned your way and blinked in wonder but you merely pointed to your left to Naruto who walked up to him in a confident manner.

“Come here and fight me!”

“Um…You’re a little bit off.”

“The only thing that’s a bit off is your hair cut!”

You chuckled at the small conversation between the two and relaxed your body as you watched them fight, Kakashi whipping his book out as they did so but that irritated the boy.

“A shinobi isn’t supposed to get caught from behind, baka.”

‘Is that the tiger seal?’ You squinted your eyes to check and it seemed Sakura noticed too.

“Naruto! Run away, you’re going to get killed!” She cried out to him who then began to panic.

“What?!”

“Too late.” Kakashi muttered making your breath hitch and you took a step forward, intending to save your friend.

“Hidden leaf ancient taijutsu supreme technique, A 1000 YEARS OF PAIN!!!”

You watched Naruto fly in the air and into the river with a dumbfounded look before it finally hit you.

“He just poked his ass.” You snorted, covering your mouth to prevent any laughter from being heard.

Naruto had then come out the water, using his new technique to attack which surprised Sakura, Sasuke but also Kakashi who didn’t expect a shadow clone to grab him from behind.

“My ass still hurts so here’s my revenge!” The blonde haired boy raised his fist as he came down on Kakashi but when he punched him, it turned out to be another clone.

“Huh?!”

“Ouch!!”

Your eyes searched around your surroundings, trying to sense where your sensei had gone and once you found him resting on a branch just by your friend and his clones, your lips formed into a smirk.

“Thanks Naruto, I’ll take it from here!” You shouted but he seemed too busy fighting his own clones.

Using your enhanced speed to dash towards the group, your hands formed each seal before you inhaled a good amount of air and sprung from the ground, leaping over the clones who stopped their fight to watch your form in awe. Calling out the water technique, you then aimed the powerful stream of water, it breaking the branch and causing Kakashi to leap up but he had to defend himself with a kunai as your course of direction in the air was the same as his.

“[F/N] is really good.” Sakura commented as she watched you from her hiding spot, a look of admiration revealing itself through her features.

’She might get a bell.’ Sasuke thought as he acknowledged your skills.

You threw another Kunai his way before hiding yourself in a tree by the river and bringing both hands to form the sign of the tiger.

“I can’t just use that technique all the time on its own. I gotta learn another that can help it become stronger.” You mumbled as you searched through the scrolls in the library.

It was the night before the survival training you would take part in with your team and you had decided to go off to the library to find some scrolls that contained techniques of a certain chakra nature. Once your eyes landed on one scroll, you smiled in a knowing manner and opened it to reveal many water techniques. You skimmed through it, trying to find one that would assist you and soon stopped on a specific one.

“This one should work.” It was the simplest out of all the techniques but to you, it was perfect.

“Water Clone Jutsu.”

You murmured this and four clones of yourself formed themselves out of the water startling Naruto who had released his jutsu.

“Attack him and when I go to fight, follow me.” You pointed towards Kakashi who was on guard, his book actually closed and held away from his face.

“You got it!”

“Let’s kick some ass!”

“Hell yeah!”

“Hehe.”

You couldn’t help but chuckle at this, the excited clones soon jumping out the river and speeding towards Kakashi who got into a fighting stance.

“Water Style, Water Severing Wave!” The four replicas exclaimed as they surrounded Kakashi and soon attacked.

The clones waited for the outcome but they were taken aback by the log that was in Kakashi’s place instead.

‘I knew it.’

You closed your eyes, trying to focus on where he had gone now and as soon as you sensed a small spark of chakra, your coloured orbs revealed themselves once more, looking sharper than usual. You shot out of the tree, your clones detecting your presence and quickly going after you but when you landed in an area where Kakashi hid himself, they took out a kunai and remained silent as they kept their guard up like you.

“You did well, [F/N].” Your eyes expanded in shock and you spun on your heels, watching as your clones were easily eliminated.

A bit of water from the clones as they formed back into the liquid hit your eyes and caused you to stumble back. Kakashi kicked your legs while you were distracted and you landed on your back, raising your hands in defeat as a kunai was pointed to your neck.

“Damn, after practising that new technique last night, I thought I could get one.”

Sitting up and watching in silent manner as Kakashi strolled off to find Sakura and Sasuke, you then stretched and got up, walking off to see how your teammates were doing.

Opening the lid to your box, you nibbled on a bit of the food but paused as you heard a grumble. Shifting your attention onto Naruto who faked a laugh and claimed that he was fine, you gained a heavy feeling in your chest due to the guilt.
