Sanji X Reader - The Youthful Flower Ch.4

“Xypher? That’s the next island?” You asked to Nami who nodded as she was sorting some work out.

She noticed the trouble expression you were sending her and raised a brow.

“What’s wrong?” She asked.

“I need to tell you all something. Come on.” You led her out of the room and towards the deck.

Luckily, everyone was on deck. You sat on top of the rail and gazed down at the others who now had their attention on you.

“Nami’s informed me that we are headed to Xypher Island. I think it’s best If we take another route and go to the island after that.” They were surprised by your serious expression.

“Why? We are only going there to get supplies.” Robin mentioned.

“It will be super quick!” Franky mentioned.

You gazed at Nami who flinched under your intense stare.

“When we get near the island, I will travel on the sea and get to the island myself. I’ll prepare the supplies so when you arrive, we can put it on the ship and leave right away.” You explained.

Zoro noticed the nervous glint in your eyes and spoke, startling you.

“Why are you in such a rush? I want to walk around the island-” He questioned but Sanji interrupted him.

“And get lost.” He shot toward Zoro who glared at him.

They move their attention back to you as you turned your head to your right and gazed at the glistening sea.

“My sensei is there...” You whispered.

“Sensei? Did he teach you how to use your devil fruit?” Brook questioned before sipping his tea.

You nodded and heard Luffy cry out in amazement,

“Do you think he will join my crew-” You turned to him and sent a glare.

“No way!” You yelled.

Luffy stared at you, surprised by your sudden outburst. Your purple bangs shadowed your crimson eyes as you gritted your teeth.

“Forget it.” You muttered and left the deck.

Silence filled the atmosphere and everyone was still in shock by how sensitive you became.

“M-Maybe we should take another route...” Usopp mentioned, slightly scared.

“We can’t...The log pose has already set on that island. We have to wait until its sets on another.” Nami told him.

“I wonder who ___’s sensei is...” Chopper muttered.

Sanji, not being able to take the quiet atmosphere, sighed and went inside. He searched around and grew surprised when he found you in the kitchen.

“__-chan?” He called.

You looked back and sighed as you saw Sanji.

“Sorry about that...I just remembered a few bad memories.” You told him.

“You don’t need to apologize, everyone goes through these kind of times.” He mentioned as he sat beside you.

“God...I feel bad for snapping at Luffy.” You muttered.

Sanji reached out to pat your back but he hesitated at the last second. After that drunk incident, he promised himself he wouldn’t touch you again unless he had no choice since he had upset you.

You trembled, not being able to handle the silence and finally had enough.

“This is annoying me!” You yelled, startling the older man.

You stood up and walked out the kitchen, Sanji quickly following behind. You couldn’t just sit here and act depressed. there wasn’t enough time until you reach the island.

“I need to tell them. We don’t have time.” You muttered and walked back out on deck.

You stood by the rails and sent an intense stare to each of them.

“Listen everybody...The reason why I’m against going to that island is because my sensei is in charge of patrolling the area.” You revealed.

“Wouldn’t he be okay with us then? Since you know him.” Chopper questioned.

“No. To him, we are his enemies and he would do anything to capture us.” You told.

Sanji’s eyes widened as he realised what you were talking about.

“Don’t tell me he’s...” He trailed off as you nodded and opened your mouth to respond.

“That’s right. My sensei is a marine.”

You saw how shocked everyone became.

“But that’s not all. You might know who he is. Especially you, Luffy.” You pointed out.

Luffy tilted his head, puzzled by your words.

“The reason he taught me was because my devil fruit and his were similar. He was willing to teach me which I was grateful for until I found out his true objective.” You shook your head, not allowing the bad memories from playing in your mind.

Robin remained quiet, trying to put together the puzzle pieces in her mind. ___’s sensei is a marine and he also has a similar power to hers. Her power is speed so he must be as fast as her. Wait...Fast! Robin’s eyes widened and she gazed up at you in shock, finally figuring out who it was.

You noticed Robin’s expression and sent her a small yet sad smile as you nodded.

“My Sensei Was Vice Admiral Kizaru.”
